Course Repeat Policies

Engineering students may officially repeat any course, including electives, in which they have received a C- or below and the repeated grade will replace the initial grade for QPA calculations. In order to do this, however, the course must be repeated within one academic year after the original enrollment. Any course resulting in a grade of C- or lower may be repeated, as well, and though the grade earned by repeating the course will replace the previous grade earned (in calculating the QPA), the original grade will not be erased from the transcript. The repeated course must also be the same course in which the original grade was earned.

Note: No sequence course may be repeated for credit after a higher-number sequence course has been passed with a C or higher. No course may be repeated more than twice. For the purposes of this rule, grades of W, N, or R do not count as repeats. No course may be repeated at any other institutions.

Once the course has been repeated, you will need to complete a "Course Repeat Form" and get it signed by your advisor.
