No matter what you're going through, there are people out there that have gone through the same thing. People are willing to help, you just have to be willing to let them.-Greg Wunderley Is there a UHC version of Seminar?ENGR 0181 - Honors Freshman Engineering SeminarThe Fessenden Honors in Engineering Program (FHEP) provides a vehicle for like-minded, academically ambitious engineering students to meet as freshman engineering seminar groups. FHEP is about scope-it's about discussing issues beyond the technical and scientific. Participants regularly read about and discuss philosophical and ethical issues of engineering, as put forth by such provocative authors as C.P. Snow and Sam Florman. It is about examining how the sciences and humanities interact-and how they don't. FHEPsters revel in reading thought-provoking works and challenging each other's opinions. Just like any program offered by the Honors College, FHEP is for students who have the initiative to read deeply and discuss passionately to reap the satisfaction, personal growth, and intellectual benefits that come with doing more work than is required.
